ComNews Oil and Gas IT Awards Found Their Owners
ComNews handed out awards to winners of the 9th contest "Best 10 IT Projects for Oil & Gas Industry". The awards ceremony took place on September 14, 2017 in the Big Gala Hall of Popov Central Museum of Communications in Saint Petersburg. The evening reception was sponsored by Dell EMC, and Moscow Technological Institute (MTI) was Educational Partner of the contest.

"Best 10 IT Projects for Oil & Gas Industry" was established by ComNews Group in 2009 to annually distinguish both customers and contractors of the most prominent IT projects, which drive innovations on the level of separate government organizations, commercial customers, and the country's economy in general. The main criteria for the assessment of IT solutions used by the jury were: scalability (the project can be replicated), innovativeness/complexness (the project has introduced innovations into the business, it employed new or significantly upgraded technological solutions), significance for the CIO community, efficiency (driving business profitability), and transparency.

A keynote speech to the guests and winners of the contest was delivered by Konstantin Kravchenko, Head of IT, Automation and Telecommunication in Gazprom Neft. He emphasized that oil & gas companies are on the verge of a brand new future. Oil and gas industry is one of the most technologically advanced, emphasized Alexander Grigorchuk, OEM Manager in Russia and CIS, Dell EMC. Member of the contest committee, Director General of Sibintek Alexander Shatalov mentioned that the jury selected the vendors who will cater to the industry for many years to come.

The winner in the Digital Field nomination was Dreamline for the project of development and deployment of "Digital field" system in EmbaMunaiGaz. The award was received by the director of Dreamline Company Timur Ismagilov and director of the department of manufacturing automation and IT of EmbaMunaiGaz SC Bolat Nsanbaev. Timur Ismagilov emphasized that many companies are currently working on "digital fields", which makes him even prouder that the jury chose Dreamline.

The winner in the Digital Plant nomination was IT Universe for the project of development and deployment of a dedicated app and online system for monitoring production and efficiency in Ryazan Oil-processing Company. The award was received by IT Universe's project manager Mikhail Saraev and Yury Salnikov, Head of business information and management systems in Ryazan Oil-processing Company. Mikhail Saraev thanked the jury for a high appreciation of their work, and Yury Salnikov pointed out that a good result is impossible unless it's a common cause which everyone works toward.

The award for implementation of Industrial IoT went to Enforta – a subsidiary of ER-Telecom Holding. The jury distinguished Enforta's project aimed to digitalize the oil-wells operated by Volgodeminoil in an IoT environment using LoRaWAN and cloud data platform AVlST.Operation. The award was received by Kirill Poroshin, Oil and Gas Sales Director, ER-Telecom Holding.

In the IT Security nomination, the winner was R&D Company Information Technologies in Business for developing a complex information security system "Pantsir+" for Microsoft Windows OS. The award was received by Director General of R&D Company Information Technologies Andrey Scheglov.

Mobile Solutions for Construction Company won in the Cloud Solution nomination, for a cloud solution for technical oversight at the construction of a complex of refining and petro-chemistry TANECO plants in Nizhnekamsk. The award was received by Director General of Mobile Solutions for Construction Company Timofey Tatarinov.

In the nomination Predictive Maintenance of Equipment the winner was Galaktika Corporation for the project of an automated maintenance and repair control system based on Galaktika EAM solution. Vice President of Galaktika Corporation Alexander Burgardt emphasized that the project was done under very tight timeline.

The award for Asset Management and Resource Optimization went to Melston – for the project of development and implementation of an ITSM system. The award was received by Melston's CIO Andrey Balyakin on the contractor side, and CTO of Melston-Service Alexander Cherevko on the customer side.

In the category Industrial automation: improved advanced process control (APC) and manufacturing execution (MES) systems the winner was NEOLANT for the development of a digital asset of site structures and facilities at the Novoportovsky field for comprehensive information support of project engineering, construction and operation. The award was received by NEOLANT's Director General Vitaly Kononov and First Deputy Director General of Gazpromneft–Yamal Sergey Devyatyarov.

The award in the nomination Tailored solution for oil & gas industry went to Gridpoint Dynamics for the development and implementation of a domestic program platform Geoplat Pro in Gazprom designed to address a comprehensive complex of engineering tasks from search to development of oil and gas fields, reducing risks, ensuring industrial security, and controlling capital and operating expenditure for purposes of import substitution. Award recipient – Director General of Gridpoint Dynamics Igor Efremov – emphasized the relevance of domestic software for such projects. He also pointed out that Gridpoint Dynamics has projects with many other oil and gas companies in Russia.
